Ikvanshu Foundation was established in 2018 by Poorvaja Sundar, who brings over 6 years of experience in the social development sector. She holds a Master's in Public Policy from Columbia University and has worked for nonprofits, research and policy centers, both in India and abroad. With a deep passion for creating inclusive systems and empowering communities, Poorvaja founded Ikvanshu Foundation to address key societal challenges and foster sustainable development for all.
Ikvanshu is committed to empowering individuals and organizations by believing in their inherent agency and potential. Our work focuses on building the capacity of people and community-based organizations, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and resources to drive their own development. By strengthening local leadership and fostering a sense of ownership, we aim to create sustainable change from within. Our initiatives often revolve around capacity-building workshops, strategic planning, and consulting support to ensure that both individuals and organizations can effectively address their challenges and pursue inclusive growth. Ichchha: Focused on building entrepreneurial skills in children, empowering them to think creatively and develop business acumen.

Sashakta: Aims to enhance financial literacy among women from low-income communities, helping them manage their finances and build economic resilience.

Ikvanshu Foundation primarily works with low-income communities in Mumbai, where many individuals are first-generation learners and most community members are daily wage earners. We have focused our efforts on areas such as Ambe Wadi in Vile Parle and Shankarwadi in Jogeshwari, supporting these communities through educational, entrepreneurial, and capacity-building initiatives.

We work closely with community-based organizations to enhance their skills in areas like Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), fundraising, and leadership development. By providing workshops, strategic guidance, and tailored support, Ikvanshu Foundation helps NGOs address their specific challenges and maximize their impact. While we don't provide direct funding, we support NGOs in their fundraising efforts and help build sustainable, long-term strategies for growth and success. Partnerships with Ikvanshu Foundation focus on fostering shared goals of empowering communities and driving inclusive development.
Ikvanshu Foundation supports NGOs by providing capacity building, strategic guidance, and strengthening Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) processes. We offer training to enhance organizational skills, help develop long-term strategies, and assist in resource allocation. While we don't provide direct funding, we support NGOs in fundraising efforts and improving M&E systems to track progress and demonstrate impact. Our goal is to empower NGOs with the tools they need for sustainable growth and lasting community change.
Ikvanshu Foundation does not provide direct funding to NGOs. However, we recognize that securing funding is a critical aspect of running a successful social development organization. To support this, we assist NGOs in their fundraising efforts by offering guidance, strategic planning, and capacity-building around fundraising techniques. Our goal is to help organizations strengthen their approach to securing financial resources, ensuring they can sustain their impactful work and achieve long-term growth.
